Halston Heritage with SJP!

I received a wonderful little email today alerting me of the Halston Heritage line at ASOS.

Word on the street is that Sarah Jessica Parker is involved on this line-and it's looking good!

Here are a couple of my favorites.

Like the one shoulder top and I like the sleeve to the elbow on the other arm.

The cascading ruffles down the side of this dress makes it very whimsical and light.
Of course, like the white Halston dress SJP wore in SATC2, this is a definite like!

Fall Fashion Issues

I have finally had a minute to get through some of these Fall Fashion Issues.  I am loving....

The Camel Coat:
The camel coat is a timeless piece that goes with everything.  Dressed down with denim or dressed up with slim fit pants provides just a few of many options.  Living in Georgia does not give someone like me a lot of opportunity to wear a wool coat, but I will definitely be on the lookout for a light weight camel trench.

The Anorak:
LOVE this in olive!   I am still a big fan of ruffles, so love the girly edge on this one.

Minimalism:  Black and White
Black and white will always be in style as far as I am concerned.  Sometimes minimal is more.
I recently purchased a black pencil skirt which will be great going into fall.  I have a Ralph Lauren long sleeve white dress shirt with big open, ruffle cuffs that will give it a perfect romantic edge if I so choose.  This look is very tailored and looks nice and crisp.  I like shiny silver or black accessories with black and white.

I like platforms lately and have seen some wonderful brown/mustard/nude colors in booties. Open toe booties are at the top of my list also.  As mentioned in a previous post, Vince Camuto makes some wonderful options, as does Jeffrey Campbell:

I like to keep lace in the colors of black, white, cream, champagne, and light pink.  Whether it is lace trim, inserts, or overlay it is such an overall pretty effect.  Very romantic.

Love this blazer!

"That's right. I'm just CRAZY about Tiffany's"

Lazy Saturday... Breakfast at Tiffany's... what could be better?

So after browsing on ASOS for some time today, I came across several cocktail rings at amazing prices.. at $6.74 for some of them, with 15% off AND free shipping from UK (thanks to See Chloe Shop!), I mean, well... I can't even score that good of a deal here in my hometown!

I opted out on a dress because I am afraid of the sizing and fit (just not in the mood to mail something back, yada, yada this week).

But here is what I got... the cameo ring I got is similar to the one posted except mine has a row of pearls around it. And apparently was a great buy as it is just now out of stock! :)

I'm Thinking... Boots!

I have been contemplating boots these days. I have a growing interest for peep toe boots and a slowly growing interest for clogs. After purchasing a pair of Jessica Simpson Dany shoes, platform is totally the way to go no matter how high:

Loving Vince Camuto lately. Threw in a ruffle handbag for good measure!

Happy Wednesday!!!

Birthday Weekend

My birthday weekend was this past weekend!  No sadness here about turning another year older, but birthdays are always a time to reflect on the last year or several years, and where things are headed in the near future.  Many people tend to do this around New Year's but for me it's Birthdays.
It was so nice to have all my friends in one place for dinner.  It happens not as often as it should anymore and warmed my heart to be with everyone.  I am lucky to have amazing friends.
My Birthday, being close to fall fashion issue time really makes me excited to think about what outfits I can come up with for the following months.
First a cupcake for  me!

Otherwise, this is what else is on my mind:

Platform pumps, nudes, bows, etc.

So, I watched Dexter once.  I didn't think it was anything great.  Well I gave it another shot.. and have not done anything but catch up on 4 glorious seasons (currently at the beginning of season 3).  So dark and addicting.  It is fun getting lost in Dexter's little world of mind games.  It has definitely kept me occupied over the past week!
Love, love, love Dexter and Rita together.  Unfortunately, I looked up some interviews of the actors and found out a bit more than I bargained for.  :(
I will still watch... must go on....
I want to be caught up for season 5.  Maybe then my boyfriend and I can have a show we actually try to watch together (since we are doing long distance) and will feel like a normal couple!

I will be back on track soon! :)

Craving Fall

I try not to complain much. I have a philosophy that no matter how bad a situation is, it can ALWAYS be worse. Which is true.

But dang if it isn't hotttttt this summer!

So I am ready and willing to skip this last month of summer and move on to fall. :)

I crave that crisp coolness in the air. The time where the leaves are just starting to turn the pretty shades of brown, orange and crimson. The start of football season-yes, I am a fan. No, I don't know all the rules of the game but I know enough and love friends getting together and good times, with good food!

Doesn't hurt, being able to snuggle up next to my boyfriend on those chilly fall nights, at the college games. :)

On a seperate note, I like my Fall clothes much, much better than my Summer clothes. My Fall clothes are more flattering on me than the Summer clothes, in my opinion. I have more options with Fall clothes and hello, colored and patterned tights! Need I say more?

So needless to say, I have a lot of anticipation building for Fashion Week and beyond. This is going to be a good season, I can feel it.

So to hold me over, I want to remember a few of my fave's from Fall 2010.

Badgley Mischka

Chado Ralph Rucci

Elie Tahari

Alice + Olivia

3.1 Phillip Lim
PS... I was in Target on Saturday and as I glanced at the magazines, much to my surprise, were some Fall Fashion Issues. The glossy covers were oh, so enticing. I realize by having a subscription to practically every fashion publication there is doesn't mean you get the issues before the stores do but Where oh Where are you, September Fall Fashion Issues?
